About this guide

This site organises the history of Castelo de Vide as a single timeline of nine eras, given equal editorial and visual weight, because each of them left something in the town you can visit today — or streets people still live in.

Alongside the timeline sit eight thematic routes, made for visitors arriving with one specific interest: water, walls, megaliths, Jewish heritage, religious architecture, Roman archaeology, or walking.

Real photography will be added in stages. Until then, image areas are marked as placeholders so you can see where and how they will land.
